As successor of a rich and turbulent past, Savoie has very own cultural and historical traditions and way of life. Each urban unit is directly charged with the history and culture of Savoie. Thus, there are many historical and cultural sites to visit.
The General Council acts for the maintenance and promotion of heritage with the creation of itinerary, allowing the visit of many sites and castles from the medieval times or the nineteenth century and the visit of baroque churches and chapels.
