Nearly one hundred now…
In 1989 Savoie was home to only ten non-French companies; today, there are nearly one hundred. This growth can be attributed to the increased attractiveness of Savoie, and to the efforts of the area's economic development organizations, including those made by the Agence Economique de la Savoie since it was created in 1989.
As well as offering an exceptional range of high-quality business real estate, and a qualified and skilled workforce, Savoie provides companies and their staff with an exceptional environment in which to live and work. For many companies, the quality of life in Savoie has proved to be as important an asset as the area's strategic location.
In 2006 ten new companies moved to Savoie, investing a total of €7 million and creating more than 370 new jobs. That same year, 44 of Savoie's existing companies invested €95 million in Savoie, creating 448 new jobs.
