Its objective is to train professionals capable of carrying out all types of solar work, from determining a client’s needs to maintaining and monitoring thermal and photovoltaic installations.

Today, the teaching offer focuses on two axes:

1/ Long course: 8 months, approved by the C.Q.P (Professional Qualification Certificate), for solar system installer/maintenance engineer (Building/Public Works convention).

2/ Short course: designed for working installers who would like to upgrade their skills in the thermal and photovoltaic domains using market-available technologies.

2 - Initial training and higher education

School

Description

Ecole d’architecture de Lyon
(Vaulx en Velin - Rhône)

www.lyon.archi.fr

Long course in High Environmental Quality (HEQ) architecture, in conjunction with the ALE. With 280 hours (35 days) of course work, the course is divided into ten sessions over 10 months, including two European field trips.

Polytech’Savoie (Le Bourget du Lac - Savoie)

www.polytech.univ-savoie.fr

The Building Engineering Department trains general construction engineers. The course takes a multi-disciplinary approach to buildings: structure, foundations, thermal aspects, acoustics, etc. Another notable factor is the presence at the school of research teams from the “Eco-technologies” Federative Research Institute, which are working on improving environmental quality, new energy technologies and materials and structures.

INPG - ENSEEG (St Martin d’Hères - Isère)

www.enseeg.inpg.fr

The ENSEEG provides all-round training in engineering and the physical and chemical sciences. It specializes in electrochemistry, materials science and the methodology of process engineering. It also offers options/specializations in energy systems, decentralized production and energy storage.

IUT A – Lyon 1 (Bourg en Bresse - Ain)

http://iuta.univ-lyon1.fr

Advanced-level training for technicians interested in all types of energy application and capable of working in all sectors of the “equipment manufacturing” sector, as well as all the sectors of the industry that produce, use and generate thermal energy .

LEGTA de Savoie (La Motte Servolex – Savoie)

Trains technicians in renewable energies to BTSA and BAC +2 levels.
