Missions
A study carried out at the beginning of the 1980's revealed that Savoie's economy faced two main threats. The first was the possible withdrawal of its large industrial groups; the second was the fragility caused by the dominance of winter tourism, an industry that was already "mature" in terms of growth. In order to meet these challenges and to increase and diversify the "département's" development, Savoie "Départemental" Council created the Agence Economique de la Savoie. 
The Agency's goal is to stimulate economic growth by promoting development and by encouraging the realization of the area's human and economic potential. It plays an active role in supporting local companies, attracting inward investment and assisting entrepreneurs in the creation of new businesses. Providing attractive conditions for the development of small businesses is one of the Agency's highest priorities.
The Agence Economique de la Savoie also provides businesses with free and confidential advice through a team of expert advisors. As many of our advisors have joined us from industry, they have in-depth and practical knowledge of business needs and economic realities. Our "One company, One advisor" policy means that companies can address all their inquiries through a single personal advisor, ensuring they receive the efficient and effective service they are looking for.

Supporting Savoie's economic basins
The work carried out by the Agence Economique de la Savoie is designed to support and promote the "département's" five economic basins. The "département's" policies and organizational structure are designed to ensure that Savoie offers companies well-structured economic zones with high-quality facilities and services (industrial estates, business premises, building land, etc.), thus providing the best possible conditions for business growth and development.
Attracting businesses to Savoie
The arrival of new businesses in Savoie ensures the dynamism and growth of the local economy. Therefore, the Agency actively prospects (direct mailing, trade shows, brochures, etc.) companies that may be interested in setting up in Savoie, and then works closely with these companies to ensure their relocation projects are carried out as smoothly and as efficiently as possible.
